[00:00:13.090] Shout out to my Spotify listenership, Apple and Google podcasts, [00:00:16.990] and YouTube if you're watching in. [00:00:18.630] Thanks for giving me a reason to get dressed. [00:00:20.750] You could have been anywhere in the world, but you're here. [00:00:23.510] Be present and recognize that it's now, right now. [00:00:26.910] Whether your right now is working, flying, running, driving, [00:00:30.310] be thankful we're alive, baby. [00:00:32.730] Failure can be frightening. [00:00:34.450] However, as Winston Churchill reminds us, success is all about going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm. [00:00:41.210] This is I Will Not Lose podcast, where we set out to prove everything is learned from failure, and we must persevere and recognize it as one step closer to success. [00:00:49.780] I'm your host, Tony Ortiz. Let's jump right in. [00:00:53.880] Be grateful we're alive, baby. Let's be thankful we're alive, baby. [00:00:57.920] we're here woke up got breath in our lungs light in our hearts this is good so without further ado [00:01:08.380] let's just jump right in man i've been working i'm not even gonna lie to you i've been hustling [00:01:12.900] grinding getting it whatever you want to call it i've been doing that and um i got nothing to show [00:01:20.860] for it tonight so little misstep but we had four times as many views in december we had two on [00:01:29.620] location podcasts i had guests scheduled out until february had all my episodes lined up ready to go [00:01:37.060] and they're sitting on my hard drive which is not with me right now so in order to stay with [00:01:43.920] the drop schedule and give you guys something for tonight i figured i'd just jump in and we'd have a [00:01:50.280] little conversation i'll let you know what i've been working on i've got a couple of things coming [00:01:54.920] up but as for tonight we're not going to do any multiple camera angles we're not going to do the [00:02:01.660] best microphone setup you know we're just going to go straight to camera and we're going to just [00:02:06.420] cut it up and i'm going to have to go with that for right now so this week we've got well recording [00:02:13.900] on a Monday. We've got Mike Frasero on a Tuesday, Alan Jimenez on a Wednesday. Next week, we've got [00:02:22.140] Dina from Amp Clothing that's going to be coming by. And I've got to reschedule with Quesa the [00:02:27.920] Artist. So just in the next three weeks, we've got four episodes to record and edit. And everybody [00:02:35.880] sees the content come out. Nobody sees the amount of work that goes behind putting everything [00:02:43.600] together and that's the point of it you know it's supposed to look effortless it's supposed to just [00:02:48.000] come every week well produced highly put up you're supposed to see clips every single day you know i [00:02:54.360] get that that's the goal post but while working that much and still ending up with a misstep with [00:03:02.300] no episode to post tonight it had me just rethinking a lot of things and really had me sit [00:03:07.960] in and think, you know, what is it that I do this for? And how much do you cater to the algorithm? [00:03:14.700] And how much do you worry about putting everything perfect and on time so that everything goes? I get [00:03:21.200] that that's what it takes to build a consistent base. And I get that there's people waiting for [00:03:25.820] an episode, which is why I wanted to touch in and give you something on a Monday. But it doesn't all [00:03:33.040] have to be perfect. You know, I had a great meeting with Lisa McDonald of Imperfections [00:03:39.200] is Beautiful. And we sat down for coffee and we had just a nice connection. And it reminded me [00:03:47.640] that that's what this podcast has allowed for me. I've been able to connect with so many people. [00:03:52.540] I'm connecting with new people this week. Yes, there goes about six to eight hours for every [00:04:01.160] one hour piece of content that you see and that's being generous you may record for an hour but [00:04:06.940] after that you have to watch it again that's another hour you have to cut clips you have to [00:04:12.140] edit all the multiple camera angles and put everything together so you're at three four [00:04:16.320] hours there it starts to stack up and then once the episode is done you have to take another half [00:04:22.400] an hour a day to put clips out you know even if you have the if you take two hours prepare all [00:04:29.040] the clips and have everything set you're still posting every day you know there's no major team [00:04:33.680] behind this there's not a whole lot more than the blood sweat and tears of myself and my guests that [00:04:40.800] donate their time to come on the show and help give you guys something to watch so you know this [00:04:47.780] isn't a complaining you guys know i love what i do and i wouldn't trade all the work for all the [00:04:53.060] connections that i've been able to make and the people that i've been able to connect with to [00:04:58.020] everybody that tunes in every other week and just listens to the story and continues on, [00:05:03.380] you know, that's what this episode is for. We're here to show that success is all about learning [00:05:11.250] to recognize failures as one step closer to it, not as some major destination that lives on the [00:05:17.670] end. So I can't call my podcast the goal is to fail and I will not lose and then try to be perfect [00:05:27.230] all the time. I don't think it's a coincidence that I happen to have a meeting scheduled with [00:05:33.390] a company called Imperfections is Beautiful. Shout out to Lisa McDonald. But I'm just seeing [00:05:39.520] everything come together. Shout out to Louis Bardalis. He had posted something I saw in his [00:05:45.740] story that he is just coming off a creative block and he just recently put out some music [00:05:51.260] and it was great to hear the truth behind what goes on behind content creation. Sometimes we [00:05:59.780] get burnt out. Sometimes we all have real jobs and things that we have to do. None of us are in our [00:06:04.760] teens and our early 20s. People have jobs, kids, lives, mortgages, school loans. There's real life [00:06:12.520] that happens and we still come together and find some way to create content and put something [00:06:18.200] together for people to consume so big shout out to all my creators big shout out to everybody that [00:06:24.340] put something out there's tons of great new content flooding the streets i've been bumping [00:06:29.600] that uh batting a thousand a thousand the johnny bills album new johnny bills big shout out to [00:06:36.520] johnny bills um i'm just hearing all these now this stuff it's the moment now when the album [00:06:42.640] comes but this took years to put together you can tell just by listening to it so tonight you're not [00:06:49.180] getting the multiple camera angles you're not getting the perfectly crafted i will not lose [00:06:53.720] podcast but don't get it twisted it's not ai it's not like i just feed stuff in i do use ai tools but [00:07:01.740] it is a lot of damn work you know and i love doing it and i do it for you we'll be back with [00:07:10.040] another episode with wesley morris coming soon i've got guest episodes scheduled at least out [00:07:15.880] until march so no shortage of content just had to hit you with a little filler thanks for staying [00:07:22.740] tuned this is i will not lose podcast
